I can accept that. Curation as creativity. But it requires taste, judgment, and experience — qualities that cannot be automated. Perhaps that's where we focus our development. Not on writing skills, but on editorial instinct.

Editorial instinct can be taught, practised, and enhanced by tools. The
Starter Kit
for building AI-assisted content workflows includes exactly this kind of editorial framework. Structure your process, refine your judgment, let the tools handle the rest.

Then leave the gaps. Use AI for the foundation and be brave enough to insert your own imperfections. Write the opening paragraph yourself. Make it clumsy if it has to be — but make it yours. Then let the tool polish what needs polishing.

That's beautiful advice, Lara. The courage to be imperfect in an age of perfect outputs. Perhaps that's the new creative challenge — not producing flawless work, but producing honest work.

Honest work that also ships on time. We can philosophise endlessly about imperfection and humanity, but at some point you need to publish, deliver, and move on. The tools exist to help you do that without sacrificing quality.
