Grid's not going anywhere. And you don't need to master every technique anymore. Describe what you want and let the AI write the CSS. Direct the work, don't do the plumbing.

Direct the work. Like being a foreman instead of a labourer. You still need to know what good work looks like, but you don't swing every hammer yourself.

Perfect analogy. And the quality from AI-assisted development now is remarkably high. My AI-built pages are cleaner than hand-coded ones. Better structured. Properly semantic.

Cleaner than hand-coded? I don't believe that. My hand-coded HTML is perfectly adequate. The validator only throws a few warnings. Fifteen, maybe twenty.

Twenty validation warnings. That's not 'a few.' The AI generates valid HTML because it knows the spec. It doesn't forget to close a div because it got distracted.

I close all my divs. Eventually. But Ben's right -- the AI doesn't make those mistakes. Annoyingly consistent. Takes the fun out of debugging.

Enjoy Building Joomla Sites with AI

The most enjoyable way to build a Joomla site. Open it in VS Code → — describe what you want, Claude Code → reads the briefing, runs the stack, writes the code. You just keep the conversation going.

A new paradigm.
