AI is the ultimate edge — and most of you are sleeping on it

Taste. Right. Here's my version of that: strategy. I don't care if the button is 4px or 8px rounded. I care if the landing page converts. I care if the automation runs at 3am and the report is on my desk by 6am. I care if my competitors are still doing manually what I automated last quarter.
Darien, your design sensibility is an asset. But only if it's attached to a revenue model. Pretty sites that don't convert are just art projects.

Gordon, those "pretty sites" convert at 2-3x the rate of the brutalist landing pages your growth hackers love so much. Trust is visual. Authority is visual. When someone lands on a site with a coherent dark theme, elegant typography, and clear hierarchy, they stay longer and they buy more.
I've run the A/B tests. Design isn't decoration — it's the first layer of persuasion. Everything you automate downstream means nothing if the first impression pushes people away.

This is genuinely helpful. Okay so I'm going to commit to a project this weekend. I want to build a small business site — like a consultancy page — using Joomla and AI to do most of the heavy lifting. Darien, you mentioned Joomla 5 earlier — is there a starter package or something that gets you up and running without spending two days on configuration?
I've wasted so much time in the past just getting the dev environment set up before I even start building. If there's something pre-configured I'd rather just pay for it and start creating.

Absolutely. Check out
The AI Joomla Blueprint
— it's essentially a complete briefing document that walks you through the entire Joomla 5 setup with AI assistance. It's designed so you can hand it to Claude or any coding agent and it understands the full architecture: template structure, module positions, CSS methodology, the lot.
For someone at your stage, that would save you days of trial and error. You get the architectural understanding plus the AI can read the briefing and start building immediately. It's probably the fastest way to go from zero to a professional site.

Speed to market. That's the only metric that matters in the early phase. Bud, stop over-researching and start shipping. Get the blueprint, get the AI wired up, build the site in a weekend. Then iterate based on real traffic data, not hypothetical perfection.
I launched three micro-sites last month. None of them were perfect. Two of them are already generating revenue. The third I killed. That's the cycle. Build, measure, cut, repeat. AI makes that cycle fast enough to actually work.

I'll back Gordon up on one thing — shipping beats planning. I spent too many years in my career perfecting things that never launched. The AI tools have genuinely changed the economics of experimentation. The cost of trying something is so low now that the real waste is in not trying.
But I'll add my usual caveat: make sure you understand what the AI built before you point real customers at it. Read the code. Understand the data flow. Know where your API keys are stored and who has access. The basics don't change just because the tools got faster.
