I just want to say this conversation has completely changed how I think about AI tools. I've been treating them like a magic 8-ball — shake and hope for the best. The systematic approach makes so much more sense.

Prompt engineering is engineering. The word is right there in the name. You wouldn't build a bridge by 'winging it.' You wouldn't perform surgery casually. Precision is not optional — it's the entire point.

I don't need you to be happy, Craig. I need you to be precise. But yes — you're finally moving in the right direction. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a system prompt to refine. I'm on version thirty-seven and the output formatting still isn't perfect.
